PROS:  Less expensive.  Same technology as the Pump in Style Advanced with the 2-phase expression and pumping patterns which mimic your baby's nursing patterns.  

CONS:  Only pumps one side at a time.  Much less powerful than the Pump in Syle Advanced.  In general a strong double electric pump is worth every penny you spend.

Consider that formula, which contains rocket fuel and has but 30 beneficial medical components to the 1,000+ contained in breastmilk, costs on average, $6,500 a year. Plus the health benefits to you and your baby are immeasurable.   If you get all the things you need that will make breastfeeding convenient and successful you will spend but a fraction of that amount.

For these reasons, we strongly recommend the Pump in Style Advanced or Freestyle if you are planning to nurse for six months to a year.  A good breast pump is key to an effective nursing plan.  Allows for bottles.  Helps when milk supply dips.  Can pump down overly full engorged breasts.  Helps remove clogged ducts.

If you are looking for a are looking for a less expensive option for only OCCASIONAL use we recommend the Single Deluxe or Harmony Pumps by Medela, although the Swing is the better of these three pumps.
