These wide neck nipples fit all Medela bottles and are better for breastfed babies because the nipple more resembles the mother's nipple and areola.  The baby nurses by taking the mother's nipple into its mouth and placing its lips on the areola.  The wide neck collar allows the baby to simulate this action while being bottle fed.   Less nipple confusion.  More comforting feeding experience for the baby.  Can help with babies reluctant to take the bottle.
